Property Building in Akgun Istanbul Hotel

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Akgun Istanbul Hotel, and I must say it was a wonderful experience. This five-star hotel may be located a bit far from tourist attractions, but the proximity of the red line metro station made it very easy for me to access all the main attractions. The hotel's janitor, reception desk staff, and bellboy were very friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel's interior is stunning, and everything was clean and useful. My room was spacious with a queen size bed and a small sofa. Even though I arrived two hours earlier than check-in time, the hotel provided me with complimentary tea and coffee while I waited. But the waiting time was only 15 minutes, and it wasn't a problem at all. During my stay, I found that the safe box in my room was locked, and I asked reception for help. The service man was in my room within a couple of minutes and kindly helped me with this problem. While I was out in the city, the hotel surprised me with a complimentary fruit basket, which was lovely. The breakfast was included in my room price, and it was an extremely rich buffet with a big variety of hot and cold meals. It was one of the most delicious breakfasts I've had at a hotel. The raw honey in the frame for honey with honeycomb was one of the most interesting installations. The hotel's upper level bar offers a breathtaking view of Istanbul, and although the swimming pool was closed for the winter, the lobby had many activities, including a barbershop and cafe. I plan to bring my family for reunion in a couple of weeks, and I would love to stay in this hotel for all 20 members of my big family for a week. The hotel's spacious rooms and excellent facilities would be perfect for accommodating my family, and I am sure they would enjoy the hotel's friendly service and delicious breakfast. Overall, the Akgun Istanbul Hotel is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Istanbul.

Mix of Continental and Turkey breakfast with plenty of space and eggs on request - Rooms which were clean, spacious and came with all of the amenities expected - Hotel also provided complimentary fruit and snacks in the rooms - Hotel has a Starbucks inside and a Turkish Spa / gym - Very convenient links for bus and metro at this hotel (2min walk) as well as 7 minute walk to nearest local restaurants. Quick to taxi via Airport (booked via Booking.com and had a good experience) - Shower strength good and warm. Easy to use. - Generously late checkout (12pm) with complimentary gift on leaving

The hotel is 5. Sure, 5 of 15 years ago, but still 5. That means a nice big room, 5 service, 5* mattress, 5* breakfast. Only problem, the hotel is in need of a refurbishment, or at least a nice trough deep cleaning. The furniture is dated, the carpets on the hall floors are worn and stained, but everything is fully functional (apart from the AC but they fixed it...) Breakfast is really 5*, focus is on quality not just diversity. If only for that it's worth coming back. Management was customer oriented, they really did their job well. Location is perfect for what I needed the Istanbul expo. Havabus from the airport stops just at the steps of hotel. Metro which goes to expo and to Aksaray is just 50m away. Bus station with direct connections to Taksim and Eminonu just in front. Good restaurants nearby. All in all recommend it, for the right price. Paid around 90 euros for a single with breakfast and it was worth it.

The hotel is in a good location if you arrive by car. They have a safe underground garage and a metro station is nearby. The breakfast was very good. Mr. Orhun from reception was very kind and helped us with everything. Wellness is good and I had a very good massage from a lady named Desa. Next time we will book the same hotel without a doubt. Taxi in Istanbul is not expensive so for 50 lire you can reach Istiklal street or other tourist areas of the city. Great praise for the people who work at the entrance to the hotel. When we needed a taxi, the younger guy went out on the boulevard and stopped the vehicles to find us a free taxi. The service was 5 stars.

The best thing was the Roof Top Cafe...the ambience and environment was very relaxing. The best thing was hookah after the whole day to relax and unwind yourself. The big windows and removable roof gave excellent wind flow and was very peaceful. Also, the swimming pool area was also good. A nice place to sit and relax. The overall hotel location is also good.
